“Can I Talk to You, C-Ville?” is a powerful conversation series originally spearheaded by Vinegar Hill Magazine and In My Humble Opinion Talk Show supported by a grant from the American Press Institute (API) in 2023. Now an official program of the Charlottesville Inclusive Media (CIM) project, the series amplifies marginalized voices on critical issues and bridges the gap between residents and decision-makers. It provides a forum for these voices to be heard on issues shaping their lives and the broader community. The project tackles two key goals: illuminating the challenges faced by under-resourced and underinvested communities and bridging the gap between residents and policy-makers.
