Listen: With 500 restaurants in a 10-mile radius, Charlottesville chef Antwon Brinson says there has to be a better way to staff them

Antwon Brinson (center) offers a weeks-long culinary training course to people incarcerated at Albemarle Charlottesville Regional Jail, part of his strategy to change the culinary landscape. The students prepared a dinner for community members in October, 2022.
